UK and EU

If you are in the UK or the EU

Last updated October 9, 2026

This page adds to the Privacy page for people in the United Kingdom, the European Union and the wider European Economic Area. It says who is responsible for your data, the legal reasons it is used, the rights you have, and your rights when you buy.

Who is responsible

Media Yard LLC, PO Box 73, Pennsauken, NJ 08110, United States, decides how and why the data described on the Privacy page is used (in the law's words, it is the controller). Contact for anything about your data: support@alibitown.com. We are a small company and have not appointed a data protection officer.

Your rights over your data

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy; to correct it; to delete it; to stop or limit using it; to hand it to you in a form you can take elsewhere; and you can object to anything we do on the basis of our legitimate interest. Where something rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To use any of these, write to support@alibitown.com. We hold very little that says who you are, so we may need your key, your room code or your town page's link to find what is yours. We will not ask for more than we need, and there is no charge.

You can also complain to your data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, the authority where you live, listed by the European Data Protection Board. We would be glad of the chance to put it right first.

Data leaving the UK and the EU

We are in the United States and so are the companies that handle data for us, listed on the Sub-processors page. Where the law requires a safeguard for that, we rely on the ones those companies provide in their data processing terms, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and the UK's addendum to them.
